Yes. When looking at these old pictures,they shake their heads and say "Boy,were WE in for a surprise!" Totally clueless as to how their lives would change.

I know exactly what those guys went thru when they got there. I was there a year and a half earlier. Good thing we were young then to go thru it. I know for sure Gary's hair was gone in less than 2 minutes.

It's hard to remember that I ever looked that thin. Course, that was how long ago. Since than, I did 10 years in the Marine Corps and was aout for three years. Than, I joined the Navy and did another 14 years. Now, I'm working as a civilian at Kings Bay, Ga. on the Trident Submarine. I haven't seen ary since boot camp. Sure was the buddy system wasn't it. I usually try to come back up that way in the late summer. We'll have to try and get together. Mike Aho
