Sandhill cranes north of Pickford. Saw them on our way to the Soo in the AM, and there were about 40-50. Saw them again on our way home in late aftenoon, and there were more than a hundred. Talked to a Pickford man who said he's seen as many as 300 at a time. We've lived on Drummond Island for more than 14 years, and have never seen more than three at a time until now.
