In 1975, a crew from the Pine Creek Railroad in New Jersey came to the Copper Country to take possesion of #6, on a 30 yr. lease, for the purpose of restoring it to running condition. A pit was dug and tracks were laid in front of the Enginehouse and the locomotive was pulled up onto a flatbed trailer.
