My great-grandfather came to Quincy(from Heinsburg-West Phalia, Germany) in 1884 as a stonemason boss...he hired my geandfather,a young Swiss (Breightenbach, Solothurn, Switzerland). I know my grandfather's first job for Quincy was to build the powder-house in Ripley....I am thinking either one of them could have laid this brick .....I enjoyed this picture.
